Description:

Recent surveys reveal how little ‘experts’ in the field of eAccessibiliity & eInclusion know about standards and, therefore, the right application of standards in day-to-day work may become a problem. The same applies to the value of certification schemes in this field. In the framework of the EU-project IN LIFE (Independent Living support Functions for the Elderly), the results of ongoing work explain in-depth the relationship between standardization and legislation as well as certification based on standards or other regulations. It also identifies gaps in standardization, as well the need for certification referring to human resources, products, and services, training, healthcare operation, etc.

This event focuses on the strategic aspects of the topic, answering questions from management, policy makers, decision makers in administration. It will also present new approaches to address some gaps and insufficiencies identified.

This interactive seminar highlights the strategic importance of standardization for AAATE members.
