Authors are encouraged to extend their AAATE Congress papers after the Conference and submit them as journal papers at the Technologies. All papers will be published with fees waived after peer-review, in Open Access form.

The submission deadline is 15 December 2017.

The Special Issue will mainly consist of selected papers presented at the 14th Congress of the Association for the Advancement of Assistive Technology in Europe (2017 AAATE). More information can be found here: http://www.mdpi.com/journal/technologies/special_issues/aaate2017

Technologies is an international open access journal of emerging technologies, and science and technology policies. The journal provides a single focus for reporting on developments of all technologies, regardless of their application. Through its open access policy, its quick publication cycle and by encouraging authors to publish their results in as much details as possible, Technologies will facilitate the rapid uptake and development of the research presented, ultimately providing benefit to wider society.

Please note you need to cite the original conference paper in the extended version.
