Draft Programme Session: Open Developer Space (STS44)

November 23, 2016

Session Type: Panel

Potential Impact of an open Developer Space on Developers, Vendors, Researchers, Clinicians & Consumers

The field of accessibility depends on the quality and diversity of adaptive AT and built-in access features.  The Prosperity4All project is focused on creating the developer tools and infrastructure, including consumer-developer connections, needed to support increasing the diversity and quality of such solutions and auto-personalization in general.  This session will start with an overview of the Prosperity4All DeveloperSpace and then look at a potentially new way of generating accessibility solutions development. We will show the DeveloperSpace walkthroughs of 6 different people: an independent AT researcher/developer, an AT SME, a mainstream company, a funding agency, a clinician, and a consumer.
